Why should I choose Gray Line Chile?

Because our principle is to offer a memorable experience, based on our own experiences and of our passengers. Years of experience make us know what can be the best options for our passengers, with the objetive of shows the wealth that Chile has to offer.

Do I have to use my Passport during my tour?

There is no need for passport on all our tours, except on the "Andean Lakes Crossing from Puerto Varas to Bariloche", which take you between countries where standard regulations regarding passports apply.

What should I take with me on your tours?

What should I take with me on your tours?

You only need to take the most basic personal belongings with you for our day tours. A good idea is to bring a fanny-pack or a small backpack, but by no means is that a requirement. 

How does the airport pick-up work?

A Gray Line Chile representative wearing a uniform and carrying proper identification will be waiting for you at the arrivals lounge, place you’ll be directed to after getting your luggage.  This person will be holding a sign with your name or group reference on it. Specially for the Santiago International Airport, for the international arrivings, the representative will be waiting for you at the exit of the gate N°4 at the airport. For local arrivings, will be the exit of the gate N°4.

Is it necessary to show a voucher or service coupon when contacting a Gray Line Chile representative?

It is important to identify yourself so as not to create confusion with the services to operate. To ensure you and us about the service provided, it is important to show your voucher. You can present your voucher from your smartphone with no problem.

What should I take with me on your tours?

We recommend you to bring always, for every excursions comfortable clothes, specially the shoes. For trekkings and outdoor activities, we recommend to put on special shoes and comfortable.

  • SOUTH OF CHILE (Puerto Varas, Puerto Montt, Aysén, Pucón, Patagonia, etc): During the high season in the Patagonia, we recommend you to bring warm clothes, specially includying a first layer for the hard rains that you can experience during your tours (and also because of the breeze and the cold weather). This recommendation is specially for the South of Chile and the Patagonia.
  • NORTH OF CHILE (San Pedro de Atacama): In regard of the North Area, like San Pedro de Atacama which is the desert, we recommend you to get warm clothes too because specially at night and in the morning is cold. During February, you can experience the Bolivian Winter, which comes with hard rains which can close the roards because of the bad weather conditions.
  • RAPA NUI (Isla de Pascua): We recommend you to carry comfortable shoes and clothes, the usual weather is tropical. You can carry something for the wind. Shorts, T-shirt and sunscreen is very recommended.
  • THE CAPITAL & SURROUNDINGS (Santiago, Valparaíso, Viña del Mar, Casablanca Valley, Maipo Valley, Andes Mountain): The weather here is more like a mediterranean weather. For winter you have to be prepared for the wind and very cold weather. For the Andes Mountain you have to be prepared with proper shoes, jacket and pants for the snow. For the Coast (Valparaiso, Viña del Mar) always you have wind and at night it's cold so we recommend to always carry a jacket and sunscrean. On Summer could be hotter by night but still you need a thin jacket. In Santiago is very hot in summer so you have to carry light clothes, and for winter you have to be with warm clothes.

What languages do you offer on your tours? 

Our day tours and excursions are by default guided in English and Spanish. If you need special language like French, Italian, Chinesse, Portuguese, etc, you can contact us and check if you can take the tour with a special guide for your language.

How will I receive my tickets?

When you have completed the booking process there will be an electronic ticket on your screen that you can print out or you can save the picture on your phone. You will also receive an e-mail with a voucher that you can print out or save it on your phone.

How does pick up and drop off work?

When you contract a tour with us, you have to let us know where you'll be staying, because we have to arrange the transfers (if the tour have them included) before the date of the trip. Remember to let us know at last 24 hours prior where you'll be staying, because it's really important for the operative to arrange this with time. The pick up and drop off is directly at your Hotel and we will be looking for you by the name selected in the reservation.
